More Growth In Dutch Kills

A wrecking ball brought down a two-story commercial building at 31-19 37th Avenue in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City earlier this month, making way for a new, five-story mixed-use building at the site.

The new building will feature 10 units on 10,200-square-feet of residential space and 2,400-square-feet of ground-floor commercial space, according to information posted on the Real Deal real estate website.

The new building will be located just two blocks from the elevated 36th Avenue “N” subway line, one block from the Q-102 bus line and within walking distance to the Queens Plaza transportation hub.

The development is slated for completion in mid-2017.
