Hunt LIC Guitar Outlet Thief

By Liz Goff

Police are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a brazen thief who stole an electric drum kit from a Long Island City music store.

Cops said the man entered the Guitar Center outlet store on 48th Street near Northern Boulevard at about 3 p.m. on October 2, where he grabbed a Roland Electric Drum Kit module and walked out of the store, unnoticed by employees.

Police said store staffers were apparently not paying attention when the man fled with the drum kit.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 6-feet, 5-inches tall and 270 pounds. He was wearing a striped, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray woolen hat at the time of the robbery.
