Motorcyclist Dead In Steinway Street Wipeout

A 22-year-old Woodside man died on October 25th after he lost control of his motorcycle on Steinway Street, police said.

Investigators at the NYPD Accident Investigation Squad said Nathaniel Gomez was riding north on Steinway Street at about 5:45 a.m. on October 25th when he lost control of his black Honda motorcycle near 23rd Avenue.

The motorcycle skidded and tossed Gomez to the ground, head first, police sad. The mangled motorcycle spun out on Steinway Street and Gomez’ blood soaked helmet was thrown into the center of the street, police said.

Gomez was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he died a short while later from massive head injuries.
