Drugged Up Driver Charged With Manslaughter, Homicide

By Liz Goff
A drugged up, 57-year-old Queens man is fading homicide and manslaughter charges after he fatally struck a female cyclist in Maspeth on October 14, police said.

Cops said Anna Rodriguez, 34, of Ridgewood, was biking westbound on 58th Road at about 8:45 a.m. on October 14 when a tractor-trailer driven by Dennis Forceri plowed into her.

Forceri was making a right turn onto 48th Street when he slammed into Rodriguez, who was lying unconscious in the street when an ambulance crew arrived at the scene, fire officials said.

Rodriguez was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where she died a short while later, authorities said.

Cops said Forceri admitted to police that he was under the influence of drugs while he was behind the wheel of the big rig.

Forceri was charged with vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, driving under the influence and several motor vehicle violations at his arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.
