Hunt Armed Laundromat Thief

Police are searching for a brazen thief who broke into a Woodside Laundromat on September 15, where he held a knife to th throat of the owner and swiped $20 from a cash register before fleeing.

Cops said the suspect pried open the front door of the Lung Fai Laundromat at 58-07 Woodside Avenue at about 7:15 a.m. on September 15 and slipped inside.

The suspect sneaked behind a counter and managed to swipe $30 from a register before the owner spotted him, police said.

The suspect then pulled a knife and threatened the owner before bolting through the store and out to the street, police said.

The suspect is described as a white of Hispanic male who was wearing dark rimmed glasses and a red and black jacket and was carrying a white Duane Reade bag at the time of the robbery.

The HOTLINE is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
