Yoko Ono, Councilman Daniel Dromm and Deputy Mayor Richard Buery hosted a kickoff ceremony at City Hall for a five borough tour of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.

The bus will visit schools in every borough between now and mid-October offering students at local public schools the opportunity to write, produce, and record their own music and music videos. In addition, a series of events are being held around the city in honor of what would have been John Lennon’s 75th birthday (October 9, 1940). The non-profit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus events will culminate with the creation of the world’s largest human peace sign in Central Park on October 6. For more information about the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus or the creation of the peace sign, visit www.lennonbus.org.
