Cops Hunt Woman In Subway Bite Attack

By Liz Goff
Queens Transit police are searching for a woman who brutally beat another straphanger on a Manhattan-bound F train on August 14.

Cops said the 45-year-old victim walked up to the woman and asked her to move her bag off a seat on the Manhattan-bound train at about 9:45 a.m. on August 14.

When the woman ignored the victim, she asked again if she would remove the bag, police and eyewitnesses said.

The victim then sat on the bag and the enraged woman “went berserk,” scratching and biting the victim multiple times, causing bleeding and large lacerations on her face, neck, hands and arms, law enforcement sources said.

The assault ended when the attacker suddenly fled the train at the 21st Street/Queensbridge station in Long Island City, police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries she suffered in the attack.

Police last week released a cell phone photo of the woman (see photo) and are urging anyone with information to call the CrimeStoppers HOTLINE at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

The HOTLINE is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
