Overnight Break-In At Dutch Kills Home

Police are searching for a brazen bandit who broke into a private home in Dutch Kills while the homeowner was sleeping upstairs.
Cops said the burglar entered the home on Crescent Street near 41st Avenue through the basement between 2 am and 4 am on June 11. He made his way upstairs to the kitchen, where he swiped a $1,200 laptop computer that was kept on a counter, police said.
Investigators said there was no sign of forced entry in the basement of the Long Island City residence.
The suspect is described as a bald, black male in his 40s, approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored athletic type shirt at the time of the break-in, police said.

The Hotline is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
