North Shore-LIJ And GoHealth Urgent Care Unveiled

An eight-year-old boy has fallen off his skateboard and has a broken arm. A 72-year-old woman is feeling woozy and is out of her medications; her family is worried. A 32-year-old pregnant woman is nauseous and concerned for her unborn baby. What do these scenarios have in common?
They are all non life-threatening conditions that can be treated at a new urgent care center in Ridgewood, instead of a crowded emergency department.
The center is one of 50 GoHealth Urgent Care centers that the North Shore-LIJ Health System, in partnership with GoHealth, is launching over the next three years. GoHealth Urgent Care, located at  55-05 Myrtle Ave, Ridgewood, this is the second of three planned GoHealth locations in Queens. It is to be unveiled in a ceremony tomorrow, at 10 am with Gary Weatherford, COO of NSLIJ-GoHealth JV; Robert Korn, MD, Medical Director, GoHealth Urgent Care; and Ridgewood Local Officials.
Additional locations in Lefrak City and Bellmore are also planned for later this month.
The North Shore-LIJ/GoHealth partnership will provide Ridgewood residents with greater access to high-quality medical care. The co-branded GoHealth centers, backed by the strength of North Shore-LIJ’s network of 18 hospitals and more than 400 outpatient physician practices, will deliver an innovative healthcare experience that combines the best of hospitality, design and seamless technology together in one urgent care destination. At GoHealth, Ridgewood residents can access community-based medical care with concierge-level service connected to North Shore-LIJ’s vast continuum of care.
