Hunt Suspect In $10G Phone Robbery

By LIZ GOFF
Police are searching for a brazen bandit who cut a hole in the wall of a Corona telecommunications store on July 9, where he made off with nearly $10,000 worth of cell phones.

Cops said the crafty crook cut a hole in the rear wall of the shop at 97-09 Roosevelt Avenue at about 9 p.m. on July 9, where he scooped up an undisclosed amount of cell phones valued at approximately $9,500.

The suspect fled the scene the same way he entered the store, through the hole he carved in the wall, police said.

Police last week released a surveillance photo of the suspect (see photo), who was wearing a light-colored hoodie and blue jeans at the time of the break-in.
