Breaking Ground In A Kew Gardens Park

Queens Borough President Melinda Katz (c.) participated in a groundbreaking ceremony in Overlook/Sobelsohn Park in Kew Gardens on Tuesday, July 14. The park will be undergoing a $1.9 million renovation project funded with $550,000 from Borough President Katz’ office and $1.35 million from the City Council. Among those joining the Borough President were Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz (fourth from l.), Queens Parks Commissioner Dorothy Lewandowski (third from l.), Community Board 9 Chairperson Raj Rampershad (second from r.) and Community Board 9 District Manager Lisa Gomes (l.).
