The Zoning and Land Use Web application, dubbed  “ZoLa,” also posts color-coded maps that show affordable housing units and city landmarks in every neighborhood in the five boroughs.

City workers spent 18 months creating the program, “a unique tool that provides a wealth of land use information,” Department of City Planning officials said.
