Offer $2.5G For Sunnyside Bandit

Police are searching for a brazen bandit who kicked in the plate glass door at a Sunnyside pizzeria on June 14, where he made off with a wad of dough.

Cops said the bandit broke into Lenny’s Pizzeria Restaurant at 44-03 Greenpoint Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. on June 14 and grabbed $500 cash from a register before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5-feet, 8-inches tto 6-feet tall and 160 pounds, with dark hair. He was wearing a striped T-shirt, a light colored baseball cap and light-colored slacks at the time of the break-in.

Police last week released a surveillance photo (see photo) of the suspect who is shown speaking on a cell phone outside the restaurant.

The HOTLINE is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and convicion of the suspect.
