$2.5G For Sunnyside, Woodside Burglars

Police are searching for suspects who burglarized residences in Woodside and Sunnyside last week.

Cops said the first break-in occurred on May 29, when a suspect described as an Hispanic male, 5-fe33et, 8-inches tall and 190 pounds, entered a second-floor apartment on 48th Street in Sunnyside, by climbing a fire escape and opening an unlocked window.

The suspect, who was wearing a striped shirt and black pants, made off with a TWC watch and $500 cash, police said.

In an unrelated incident, police are searching for two suspects who burglarized occurred a private residence on 37th Avenue in Woodside on May 31, where one suspect broke into the home while his accomplice kicked off a shoe and caught some rays, sprawled across a stoop outside the residence.

Police released a surveillance photo (see photo) of the sunbathing suspect, who looked completely at ease while his partner ransacked the home.

Cops said the burglar, who was wearing a white shirt and dark pants, entered the first-floor of the residence at about 2:50p.m. on May 31. The thief slithered along the side of the home, stuck his head inside a door and entered the basement of the home, police said.

The suspect surfaced a short while later with a black backpack and fled the scene with his sun-drenched pal, police said.

The thief swiped a Dell laptop, a pair of earrings, a digital camera and a video camera, along with personal documents including passports and greencards belonging to the residents, police said.

The HOTLINE is offering a  reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
