World’s Fair Anniversary Festival

Join NYC Parks for a fun day celebrating the 1939/40 and 1964/65 World’s Fairs and the culture of Queens. The World’s Fair Anniversary Festival, co-chaired by Borough President Melinda Katz and Assemblywoman Margaret Markey, culminates with a SummerStage concert featuring Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Hollis Brown, and Damien Escobar.

This free festival will feature activities for the entire family including games, rides, and craft projects, strolling magicians, a visit by Mr. Met and mini-tennis clinics by the USTA. The Park’s historic carousel will also offer half-price rides.

Be sure to keep the day open: Sunday, June 7, from 1 pm to 5:30 pm. The concert begins at 4 pm, at the Unisphere, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
