Crowley Tours Firehouses On 150th Anniversary

Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley, Chair of the City Council Fire and Criminal Justice Services (FCJS) Committee, celebrated the FDNY’s 150th Anniversary by visiting four firehouses in her district.  Crowley enjoyed the opportunity to show her appreciation to the firefighters and community members present at Engine 286 Ladder 159 in Glendale, Engine 319 in Middle Village, Engine 288 Hazmat Co. 1 in Maspeth and Engine 291 Ladder 140 in Ridgewood.  “As the Chair of Fire and Criminal Justice Services Committee, I understand the importance of the work our uniformed services do every day to keep our city safe. This momentous anniversary is a powerful testament to over a century of the FDNY’s hard work and dedication,” Crowley said.
