Search On For Highway ‘Hit Man’

By Liz Goff
Police are seeking help from the public to identify and locate an armed motorist who cut off another driver on an Elmhurst street and then shot the man in the arm on March 29.

Cops said the 28-year-old victim was driving along Hoffman Drive at about 4:15 a.m. on March 29 when the gunman pulled a black GMC Yukon in front of the victim’s car near the Woodhaven Boulevard intersection.

The gunman positioned the Yukon at an angle that made it impossible for the victim to drive away and jumped out of the SIV, police sources said. Gun in-hand, he walked up to the driver’s window and fired one round into the victim’s forearm, the sources said.

The gunman jumped back into the Yukon and sped away on Woodhaven Boulevard, police said.

Police have not released a motive in the attack.
