TD Bank & NY Restoration Project To Give Away Trees

On April 25, New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and TD Bank are teaming up to give away free trees to Queens residents at the TD Bank stores at 214-32 Jamaica Ave in Queens Village and 94-15 Northern Blvd in Jackson Heights from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is part of MillionTreesNYC, an initiative aimed at planting and caring for one million trees in New York City.

The TD Bank Mobile Forest – a vehicle that features living plants and trees native to NYC – will be on site at the Jackson Heights tree giveaway as part of the bank’s new “Rooted in NYC” campaign, which highlights the efforts of NYC people and organizations that are committed to improving the environment and their community. New Yorkers will be invited onto the Mobile Forest to tell their own stories of what makes them Rooted in NYC. The Mobile Forest will also be present on April 26 at the Arbor Fest event at the Queens Botanical Garden.
