Spring Into Queens With Resorts World Casino And Queens Botanical Garden

Resorts World Casino will display Spring Into Queens, an exclusive horticultural exhibit from the Queens Botanical Garden, for the entire month of April in the Red Wall Gallery.

Spring Into Queens features several beautiful, vivid floral works of art designed by Garden staff member Shari Romar and members of the QBG Gallery Committee. Located on Main Street in Flushing, Queens Botanical Garden is an urban oasis where people, plants and cultures are celebrated through inspiring gardens, innovative educational programs and demonstrations of environmental stewardship.

“If you have any doubt whether spring has sprung then rush right over to The Red Wall Gallery at Resorts World Casino,” said Susan Lacerte, Executive Director of the Garden. “Queens Botanical Garden is delighted to have a show of botanical treasures at The Red Wall Gallery.

QBG’s story—its origins, development and continued flowering—reflect the borough’s love of plants and community. Resorts World attracts people from throughout the borough, and the region—and we are thrilled to show the beauty flowering right here in Queens to patrons at the casino.”

The exhibit will also feature photographs from local celebrated photographer Dominick Totino.
"The QBG holds a special place for me, as when my father was starting his landscape business back in the early 60's, one of his first biggest contracts was landscaping for the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows,” said Totino. “During that time he was asked to save four trees by transplanting them out of the park. Today, those four trees are the ones stand at the main entrance of the QBG!"

The exhibit is free of charge. For more information and directions on how to get to Resorts World, please visit www.rwnewyork.com. For more information of the Queens Botanical Garden, please visit www.queensbotanicalgarden.org.
