Brown has resulted in the donation of more than 200 toys that will be distributed to needy children.

Brown said, “I am proud of our generous and thoughtful staff members who always remember to donate a toy so that needy children can share in the spirit of the season. Their giving and sharing during the holidays is a bright and shining reflection of their devotion to public service.”

The toy drive began on December 1 and collection boxes were placed in corridors at three office sites: 125-01 and 120-55 Queens Boulevard and 80-02 Kew Gardens Road. Collection boxes were also placed at the Queens Family Justice Center.

The drive is coordinated by the District Attorney’s Counsel Lois Raff, with the assistance of Executive Assistant District Attorney Jesse J. Sligh and their staff members. Community Coordinators Alexis F. Carter and Tara L. Chester will be making the deliveries, transforming the office van into a sleigh on wheels.

Among the places that toys are being donated are Jamaica Hospital’s Child Life Department, the Briarwood Family Residence and the Cambria Heights Community Church.
