The Rego Park-based author is proud to present her newest release, Twelve Tiny Creatures, a rhyming picture book, which teaches young readers about some of nature’s smallest beings, like the ladybug, the hummingbird, the turtle and even butterflies. The book, 32 pages and illustrated by Uhlig, used just a few lines of poetry to teach youngsters interesting facts and secrets about the way these creatures live. Uhlig created the book using watercolors and with clippings of images taken from an old children’s dictionary. Twelve Tiny Creatures is a wonderful read for children that delivers a very important message, “Treat all living things with kindness.”
