Cops Hunt Would-Be Rapist

Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a suspect who attacked an tried to rape a 21-year-old woman in Kew Gardens on July 5.

Cops said the woman was walking on 118th Street and 85th Avenue on July 5 when the suspect grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and groped her.

Police said a passing car startled the attacker, who turned and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a white of Hispanic male, 5-feet, 9-inches tll and 180 pounds, with a mullet hair cut. He was wearing light-colored shorts and a T-shirt at the time of the attack, police said.

Hunt Commercial Bandits

Queens police are asking the public’s assistance identifying two suspects wanted in connection with two commercial robberies in the borough.

Cops said the suspects enter the location and display a handgun, then demand cash from workers before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The duo first struck at 7:25 p.m. on June 7 inside Sunlight Grocery at 39-45 43rd Avenue in Sunnyside, police said.

The suspect struck again at 11:10 a.m. on June 10, when they walked into a Gulf gas station at 154-ll Horace Harding Expressway in Flushing, where they displayed a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects are described as male Hispanic. Each was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incidents, police said.

Cops Hunt Armed Livery Rob Suspect

Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a livery driver in Long Island City.

Cops said the 52-year-old driver picked up the suspect in front of a grocery store near 48th Avenue and Ninth Street on July 5 and when the cabbie drove away from the pickup point, the suspect pulled a gun and demanded cash.

The driver pulled the livery cab over at 45th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard and handed over his money to the suspect, who fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-feet, 7-inches tall and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a white tank top and a baseball cap at the time of the robbery, police said.
