The Alumni Association of Immaculate Conception School in Astoria hosted two reunions on Saturday, April 27. Graduates from 1940 through 1950 attended a reunion luncheon at Trattoria L’incontro, which was well attended. Graduates, who came from many areas of the tri-state region, averaged in age from 80 to 85 years old. They were all happy to be once again reunited with their graduating classes after being away from Astoria for so long.

In the evening, graduates from 1950 to the present attended their reunion in Lyons Hall at Immaculate Conception. Along with the alumni, sisters from the Holy Union were invited to attend. Eight sisters drove from Baltimore and Boston to attend the reunion.

Among the attendees from Immaculate Conception Parish were Sr. Jeanne Stegmann, class of 1948 and retired principal of Immaculate Conception, who attended both the luncheon and the evening events. Sister Alice and Fr. Liju, also from Immaculate Conception, greeted the alumni and thanked them all for attending.

Immaculate Conception School is located at 21-63 29th St. in Astoria, their Web site is www.icsastoria.org.
