Cornell NYC Tech Programs Taking Shape
Cornell’s new graduate school of applied sciences is set to open its first building on Roosevelt Island in 2017. When the campus is finished, it is projected to have 2,000 students. The school’s programs are already taking shape in Chelsea offices donated by Google. The one-year master’s degree program in computer science will have an unorthodox curriculum integrating business, technology and real world experience. When the campus moves to Roosevelt Island, it’s likely to look more like the headquarters of a tech company than a traditional graduate school.
