Cops Offer $2G For Cemetery Rapist

By Liz Goff

Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a suspect who raped a woman in a Corona cemetery.

Police officials last week released a sketch of the suspect, who forced a woman into an unidentified cemetery in Corona on April 1 and raped her.

Cops said the 41-year-old victim was walking on Corona Avenue at about 4:45 a.m. on April 1 when the suspect approached her and flashed a knife.

The suspect threatened to stab the woman and forced her to walk with him into the cemetery, police said.

Once inside the cemetery, the suspect raped the woman and ran from the scene, fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25-30 years old, 150-175 pounds, with black spiked hair and brown eyes.

Police said the suspect wears multiple “stud” earrings in each ear.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers HOTLINE at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

The HOTLINE is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
