Halloran, Lhota Install 2013 NEQRC Officers

Councilmember Dan Halloran and Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota swore in the 2013 officers of the Northeast Queens Republican Club on January 27. Both Halloran and Lhota addressed the club, discussing the importance of the 2013 elections. Halloran said, “This is a very important election year, especially because it’s the mayor who sets forth policy. We’ll only get real change if our new mayor brings it. We need the new generation of young Republicans to stay involved.” Though Halloran has not officially endorsed any mayoral candidate, he praised Lhota for his transformative work leading the MTA. Congressional candidate Stephen Labate also spoke to the club about the importance of being active in local politics for the sake of future generations. Former state Senator Frank Padavan also attended.
