Vallone Continues Borough-Wide Safety Tour In Bayside

On January 15, Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. continued his Queens-wide Public Safety Tour by visiting the Selfhelp Clearview Senior Center and CCNS Bayside Senior Center. Vallone, who is chair of the Public Safety Committee, discussed various safety issues at the senior centers, including graffiti, scams involving door-to-door solicitors and his efforts to get more police officers. Vallone launched his borough-wide tour several months ago, beginning with safety speeches to the Queensboro Hill Neighborhood Association and University Park Tenants Council, Peter Dellamonica Senior Center and Bay Terrace Community Alliance, among others. “It is very important for people to realize that certain crimes are up across Queens and to learn what they can do to stay safe,” said  Vallone. “We all stay safe when communities stay involved and more police are patrolling our streets.”
