Supreme Court Judge Lawrence V. Cullen

Elected to the New York state Supreme Court on November 6, Hon. Lawrence V. Cullen died November 25. Cullen held the offices of acting justice, Supreme Court, Queens County, from 2006; and judge, Court of Claims, appointed from 2006 to 2013. Cullen was a veteran of a foreign war, having served in Vietnam in the First Marine Air Wing and earned the Purple Heart Ribbon, Combat Active Ribbon, Navy Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Ribbon, and Vietnam Service Ribbon. Cullen was the husband of Margaret, and father of Anya Sinead and Patrick Lawrence. Visitation is on Wednesday, November 28, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Hillebrand Funeral Home, 63-17 Woodhaven Blvd., Rego Park. There will be a Mass in his name Thursday, November 29 at St. Andrew Avellino R.C. Church and interment at Calvary Cemetery.
