Photo Young Israel of Queens ValleyPolice are looking for a thief who allegedly stole two Torah crowns, worth $650 each, from the Young Israel of Queens Valley on 77th street in Kew Gardens Hills. The theft took place while the congregation was in the middle of evening prayer on August 16.

The man was caught on tape wearing a white T-shirt, grey pants and a black yarmulke.

The synagogue realized that the crowns were missing on the morning of August 18, according to Administrator Rosayln Ungar.
