Hunt Shooter In Near-Fatal Rob Attempt

Detectives at the 114th Precinct Squad are seeking help from the public to identify and locate two suspects who critically shot a patron on August 18, during a foiled robbery attempt outside a Woodside strip club.

Cops said two strangers accosted the 34-year-old victim as he left the Starlight Gentlemen’s Club at 49-09 25th Ave. at about 4:40 a.m. on August 18 and demanded that he hand over a gold chain he was wearing. When the man refused, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot him in the leg, police said. The two suspects fled empty-handed in an unknown direction.

The victim is clinging to life, listed in very critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital Center, authorities said.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

The Hotline is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
