Hunt Tattooed Bank Bandit
Police are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a brazen suspect who held up six bank branches last week, in different parts of the city–including two in Queens.
The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, five-feet, eight-inches tall and 190 pounds–with the word “Tension” tattooed on the back of his neck.
The suspect first struck on July 22 when he held up a Northfield Bank branch on Staten Island and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
He hit the same Chase Bank branch in Brooklyn on July 23 and July 24–walking away with an undisclosed amount of cash on both days, police said.
The suspect wasn’t as lucky when he struck a Citibank branch in Ridgewood, Queens on July 25, police said.
The suspect entered the branch at 51-10 Metropolitan Ave. at about 9:50 a.m. on July 25, walked to a teller and demanded cash, police said. The teller refused to comply and the suspect fled empty handed.
The thief hit again on July 26 at a Citibank branch at 87-11 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst, where he demanded money from a teller and walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect wasted no time in striking again, police said.
He walked out of the Citibank branch and headed to an HSBC Bank at 87-03 Queens Blvd., where he demanded money from a teller and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Armed Bandit
Police are searching for an armed bandit who held up a gas station in Flushing on July 20.
Cops said the suspect entered a Savvy gas station on the Horace Harding Expressway on July 20 and demanded cash from a clerk.
The 43-year-old clerk refused to comply–until the suspect fired one round into the ceiling of the store, police said.
The clerk then complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Black or dark-skinned Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, five-feet, seven-inches tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a red baseball cap, white tee-shirt with a printed image and the words, “New York” on the front, and blue jeans.
Police said the suspect also has a tattoo on his right arm that the clerk was unable to describe.

The HOTLINE is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Nab Suspects In Gang Slay
Queens detectives last week busted three armed suspects who fatally stabbed a man and seriously wounded another outside a Roosevelt Avenue bar on July 29.
Cops said Jesus Astimbay, 27, Juan Guanaquesa, 26, and John Espinosa, 17, were busted at the scene of the stabbings and charged with gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
The fatally stabbed victim, in his 20s, has not yet been identified, police said. A 23-year-old man who was stabbed during the attack remains in stable condition at Elmhurst Hospital Center.
Cops said Jesus Astimbay was also charged with manslaughter and all three suspects were held without bail at their arraignments at Queens Criminal Court.
