Need ID For Willets Point Body
The city Medical Examiner’s Office is trying to determine the cause of death of a man found on a Willets Point street at about 11:20 p.m. on July 21.
Police did not release the name of the 39-year-old Hispanic man, pending notification of next of kin, authorities said.
Cops said the body bore no visible signs of trauma and no signs of foul play were evident at the scene.
A passerby made the grisly discovery and called 911, police said. The man was unconscious and unresponsive when first responders arrived and an EMS crew declared him dead at the scene, authorities said.
Hunt Repeat Bank Bandit
Queens detectives are searching for a brazen bank bandit who struck two banks in Elmhurst on July 26.
Cops said the thief walked into an HSBC Bank branch at 97-03 Queens Blvd. at about 11:40 a.m., where he demanded cash from a teller.
The thief walked away empty-handed when the teller refused to comply with the demand, police said.
Apparently desperate for cash, the suspect walked to a Citibank branch located next door where he handed a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.
The teller complied and the thief made off with $8,000 to $10,000 in cash, police said.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 40-years-old. He was wearing a gray tank top, denim shorts and a black baseball cap at the time of the two incidents.

Jackson Heights Bank Heist
Detectives in Jackson Heights are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a suspect wanted in connection with a July 19 bank heist.
Cops said the suspect walked into an Amalgamated Bank branch on 37th Avenue on July 19 where he passed a note to a teller, demanding cash.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 35-years-old, six-feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white, striped shirt, a blue baseball cap and sunglasses at the time of the robbery, police said.
