Maloney Congratulates Meng On Her Victory
Congressmember Carolyn B. Maloney, a prominent supporter and enthusiastic backer of Assemblymember Grace Meng, congratulated her on her victory today in the Democratic Party primary for New York’s 6th Congressional District in Central and Eastern Queens. Maloney, who represents Long Island City and Astoria in Queens, has campaigned for Meng and attended Meng rallies; the two greeted voters and parents together June 25 at P.S. 107 in Flushing. “I am always pleased to welcome more women to Congress, and, with Grace, New York will gain a true champion for economic recovery and a fighter to repair our crumbling infrastructure. Grace has the energy, determination and intelligence to be a fantastic member of Congress,” Maloney said. “Grace Meng has been a tremendously successful fighter for Queens in the New York Assembly, and I am thrilled that she will now have the chance work for small businesses, seniors and Queens families when she gets to D.C. With her remarkable ability to find consensus and build bridges, Grace can help break some of the gridlock currently plaguing Washington.”
