Douglaston Boy Drowns In Family Pool
A holiday barbeque turned deadly for a Douglaston family on July 4, when a 4-year-old boy drowned in his family’s backyard pool.
Christos Voulkoudis was taken to North Shore University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Firefighters tired to resuscitate the 4-year old at his Beverley Road home in Douglas Manor after family members pulled him out of the pool.
No charges were filed after police investigators questioned the party guests and neighbors and determined that the death was accidental and not the result of neglect.
