High Speed Crash Damages Local Business

The Fourth of July week started off with a bang for one Astoria business owner when an automobile lost control and slammed at high speed into Atomic Fuel Oil on the corner of 21-01 Steinway St. Luckily no one was hurt in the crash, which totaled the vehicle and nearly obliterated the front of the establishment. Even the security gate was crushed. “Thank God this happened at four in the morning instead of during business hours,” Owner Will Dionisio said. “I thought it was a joke when I got the call in the middle of the night.” Dionisio made a personal plea asking for all motorists to respect the speed limit and to exert care when driving.
