Under sunny skies this morning, Assemblymember Aravella Simotas joined students, teachers, parents and members of the community to celebrate the opening of the new schoolyard at P.S. 122, Mamie Fay. The new track and smooth playing area will benefit students at the school and be open for members of the community to use. Simotas was also joined by Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr. “This beautiful schoolyard will encourage our children to exercise their bodies as well as their minds,” Simotas said. “This new area will allow the students to play safely outside and have fun while staying healthy.”
