Corona Business Group Gives And Receives


The Corona Community Action Network gave awards to local business owners and received a grant from the Queens borough president’s office last week during a special ceremony at La Estrella Latina restaurant on 104th Street. The nonprofit business group honored merchants who constantly contribute to such community events as holiday lighting, street fairs and clean-ups with trophies. Corona CAN President Ruben Peña got a pleasant surprise when Queens Borough President Helen M. Marshall presented his organization with $3,000 to update and publish a new merchant directory for the area.
