Two Dead In Motorcycle Crash
Mother’s Day came to a tragic end for two Queens bikers who were killed when their motorcycle slammed into a city bus in Jackson Heights.
Cops said the bikers were heading westbound on 31st Avenue at about 8:15 p.m. on May 13 when their Suzuki motorcycle slammed into the side of a Q47 bus that was making a right turn onto 73rd Street.
The motorcycle driver and his passenger, both unidentified, were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center where they were declared dead on arrival.
Cops said the driver of the Suzuki, described as a 25-year-old male Hispanic, lost control of the speeding motorcycle and struck a light pole before slamming, head-on into the side of the bus.
Police did not release a description of his passenger.
The shaken bus driver refused treatment for trauma and was not charged in the crash.
