Photo Vinny DuPre In the first ever airport survey conducted by the popular on-line magazine (www.travelandleisure.com/), readers were asked to rate the nation’s 22 major airports in seven categories including flight delays, design, amenities, food and drink, checkin and security, service and transportation and location.

LaGuardia received the dubious honor of ranking the worst in the country due to its long check-in and security process, the worst baggage handling, the worst when it comes to providing Wi-Fi and the worst at staff communication, design and cleanliness.

Los Angeles LAX ranked second, Philadelphia number three and another Queens airport, JFK International, ranked fourth for its heavy delays, long wait at the curbside and security check-ins and only faint traces of Wi-Fi signals. Newark Airport came in at number five.–Jason D. Antos
