Lowell School Honor Society Cares
Students from the National Honor Society (NHS) of The Lowell School in Flushing, participated in the annual New York Cares Day on April 21. Students were assigned to Kissena Park and spent the day cleaning up weeds, mulching and clearing an area next to the lake. This is part of the school’s endeavor to provide students with the opportunity to perform community service. The students were excited to be part of this experience and were very proud of the difference they made in their community. Seen here are current members of The Lowell School National Honor Society (L. to r.) Justin Tao, Elbert Yan, Matthew Abrams, Megan Hopkins, Elijah Phillips, Corey Frank-Cutone, Nick Gambaro, with Lowell H.S. Principal Susan Klein and NHS Advisor Paul Phillips.
