Idol Contestant Heejun Han Returns To Flushing

BY EVAN KASTON

Alas, the journey has come to an end for the golden boy from Queens, Heejun Han. Han did not receive enough votes to keep his head above the water and stay out of the bottom three. Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine also joined Han in the bottom three but luckily for them, Han was the one with the least amount of votes.

The Flushing resident sang for his life and tried to impress the judges and America with his rendition of “A Song for You” by Leon Russell. Unfortunately, at this stage of the game with only eight contestants remaining, he did not have what it takes to sing above the rest and become the next American Idol.

The judges opted not to use their one save that they have during this portion of the show on Han this week. They loved his personality and thought he was a great singer, just not a better singer than the rest of the performers currently on the show; so, it was time for him to go.

The contestants, including Han had just moved into the Hollywood Hills mansion this past week; everyone except Han will be able to enjoy it for another week. The possible American Idols live in this lavish estate for the remainder of their stay on the show but Han returns back home to his beloved children at the Milal Mission. He started off the show saying that he was doing this for the kids that he helps out in a local non-for-profit organization. Han went much further than he expected; so, this is anything but a disappointment for Han and the children in the Milal Mission.
