Dromm Honored As Gay Irishman Of The Year



Openly gay Councilmember Daniel Dromm was honored recently at the fourth annual gay St. Patrick’s Day dinner-dance on Staten Island. The dinner-dance was organized by Staten Island Pride Events; a community based group focused on creating events in the area that focuses on celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. Dromm, who is of Irish descent, was commended among other things for being a founding member of St. Pat’s For All. Upon accepting his award, Dromm spoke about the importance of building a strong and proud LGBT community in Staten Island. (L.to r.)
