Queens Center For Progress Honors DeSabato

Queens Center For Progress, an organization devoted to the advancement of children and adults with developmental disabilities, named Vallo Transportation President Linda DeSabato “Chef of the Year” during their annual Evening of Fine Food held at Terrace on the Park on February 7. Each year during this annual fundraiser, Queens Center For Progress honors members of the community whose contributions are exemplary. “It is my honor to accept this prestigious recognition on behalf of everyone at Vallo Transportation who go above and beyond to support the company’s mission of safety and reliability,” stated DeSabato, “Monies raised from this event benefits more than 1,200 children and adults challenged by mild to severe developmental disabilities. I’m extremely proud to be part of this extraordinary event that directly supports my neighbors as well as all communities throughout Queens.” Vallo Transportation Ltd. has been an active member of the community supporting many local charitable organizations through grants and in-kind donations. DeSabato served up homemade Italian cuisine for guests to sample. “This recipe has been in my family for generations and I truly hope everyone enjoys it. It was made from the heart from my family to yours,” added DeSabato. The Hon. Martha Taylor, attorney and community leader was also recognized as “Chef of the Year”.
