Start the day off right with an early morning visit to Gyro Uno, where breakfast is served from 9am. They’ll pack up an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich to go in just minutes and send you on your way along with a steaming cup of fresh brewed coffee. Eat more leisurely in the dining room and enjoy an omelet filled with ham, cheese, veggies or ham, with or without a side of crispy bacon. All egg and omelet dishes are served with home fries and toast.

At lunchtime, the phone rings off the hook and orders fly out the door. Gyro Uno makes awesome pizza from scratch, made with all your favorite toppings. Order a crispy crust pie in a personal small size, medium or large, to stay or to go. Stromboli rolls, chicken rolls and calzones are popular as well, and hot heros are made with freshly baked bread loaded with meatballs, chicken cutlet parmigiana, eggplant parm, peppers and eggs, grilled chicken breast and more. Owner Chris Sourlis is committed to quality and makes his own gyro on the premises with a combination of high quality beef, lamb and a secret blend of spices and herbs that render the meat juicy and flavorful. That’s the secret to his success and you can taste it in every bite of these gyros. We started with a generously sized Greek salad, topped with excellent feta cheese, stuffed grape leaves and olives, then dove right into the meats. Tender souvlaki chunks of marinated pork or lamb are laced onto wood skewers and cooked to retain their juices and flavor. The combo allows you to sample both the gyro and chicken kebabs so you don’t have to choose. You can have these succulent meats piled onto a pita sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and their creamy tzatziki sauce, or layered onto a platter with your choice of French fries, seasoned rice or the fabulous lemon potatoes. The grill man also cooks up sausages, juicy pork chops, lamb chops and rib steak. Tender London broil is grilled to order and served on an open-faced sandwich with gravy for a real treat. Eleni, the friendly server, brings everything to your table and aims to please. There are great soups of the day such as pasta e fagioli, split pea, yankee bean and chicken noodle. Appetizers and snacks include fried mozzarella sticks, spicy chicken wings, crispy calamari rings and chicken fingers. Tossed salads and Caesar salad can be topped with grilled chicken breast for a light dinner or filling lunch.

Greek specialties are made from family recipes and include pastitsio, mousaka and flaky spinach pie. Italian dishes include shrimp, chicken or veal parmigiana, or house made meatballs and marinara sauce over a mound of spaghetti. Go American with a classic 100% beef burger cooked to order and topped with Swiss or cheddar cheese, bacon, mushrooms, or onions. Turkey burgers and veggie burgers are available too.
