On January 18, Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. participated in the annual career day at P.S. 2 in Long Island City. He spoke on the importance of community service and life as a public servant. He also quizzed students on the branches of government and mentioned a few key pieces of legislation that would interest them namely his ongoing effort to reduce the amount of homework assigned to elementary school kids.
