Gianaris Tours City Harvest LIC Facility

On December 21, state Senator Michael Gianaris toured City Harvest’s massive new facility in Long Island City. The 45,500-square-foot facility is located on Newtown Creek and replaces a donated Brooklyn Navy Yard space. The LIC facility is able to distribute more than 101,000 pounds of food in one day, which is well over the average 83,000 pounds per day. Gianaris is seen here being given a tour of the facility by City Harvest’s Vice President of Distribution, Transportation and Logistics David Levy.
