Hunters Point Holidays


The Hunters Point Community Development Corporation held its second annual holiday tree lighting in Hunters Point on December 8. The lighting took place at Vernon Mall on 50th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard at 6 p.m., where Santa and his elves greeted attendees and their children. Queens Borough President Helen Marshall sponsored the event. Also present at the event were, Queens Parks Commissioner Dorothy Lewandowski, Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer along with Hunters Point Community Development Corporation Vice-President Mark Christie, Terri Adams and Frank Corrado.
