Van Bramer, Gilland Collecting For Fire Victims’ Relief
On November 18, there was a fatal fire on 61st Street in Woodside. Several families with children had to evacuate their homes and are in need of clothing, food, toys and diapers. Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer and Pastor Daniel Gilland are calling on the community to donate household items to a relief drive to support the fire victims. They are collecting diapers, new clothes, non-perishable food, baby food, cleaning products, cooking utensils and toys. Donations can be dropped off until December 21 at Van Bramer’s office, 47-01 Queens Blvd., Suite 205, Sunnyside, 718-383-9566, and the following library branches: Sunnyside, Broadway, Long Island City, Court Square and Woodside.
