Maloney Visits Entrepreneur Space
On October 11, Congressmember Carolyn B. Maloney visited the Entrepreneur Space in Long Island City. While there, the elected official, who has represented her Queens-Manhattan district since 1992, discussed ways that the federal government can help small businesses with Queens Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Seth Bornstein and E-Space Founder Kathrine Gregory. Then she toured the facility, 36-46 37th St., which rents a commercial kitchen, workstations and classrooms while also providing counseling in such areas as marketing, negotiating and pricing. Maloney (l.) is seen here after sampling products made by Janine Frank (c.), owner of the Shoebox Bakery and Sara Thomas (r.).
