Fitness For Seniors Program In Parks

The City Parks Foundation, an independent non-profit organization that offers park programs, is hosting fitness for seniors programs in Queens parks for those 60 or over.
 

The CityParks Senior Fitness Program kicked off on September 19, offering seniors an opportunity to take free tennis lessons, yoga instruction and fitness walking.
 

The program runs through October 28 at the following locations:

Astoria Park
Tennis Lessons, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the tennis courts on 21st Street and Hoyt Avenue South.

Flushing Meadows/Corona Park

Yoga, Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m. at the tennis courts on Meridian Road.
Tennis Lessons, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at tennis courts on Meridian Road.

Classes run one hour, twice a week, a spokesperson for City Parks Foundation said.
